We have done our very best to summarize both side of this amazing crossover collaboration below - in the hopes that each fanbase will take the time to check out and enjoy the content from their favorite game in the other and vice versa. Relationships were forged here that we certainly hope will last for a very long time. It has been amazing to watch the collaboration, the ideas just flowing and the shared fandom for each others' work. Our two teams took a different path, seeing this as a passion project - one that needed to do justice to each game and present and authentic experience for both fanbases. All of that to bring to both of our fanbases what we hope will come as a pleasant surprise free content update that releases for both games today!Ĭrossovers like this - between two of the top games on Steam in terms of players and reviews - are usually either uncommon or very limited or both. Emails and pleasantries were exchanged, thoughts and ideas were shared, leaks were had (oops!), and a lot of friends were made. Well, it just so happens that our good friends at Klei Entertainment took the time to read that very AMA thread - and that got them to thinking that maybe there was something to this idea. During that AMA, one curious person posed a simple question to the team, which was answered directly by Cenx. Long, long ago (ok it was about six months ago), the Terraria development team held an AMA on Reddit in celebration of Terraria's 10th Anniversary. A new enemie will be the flying eye.A WORD OF INTRODUCTION ABOUT TERRARIA x DON'T STARVE TOGETHER Originally posted by Dschinghis Pan:Dryad is a new hero, not enemie. and yes i say it because 1 year + is super long and they are developing many things but have no time for what they promised, understand plz. its been 1 year + that ppl have paid for the collection, nothing gets to them. Listing it here is pointless, as we don't know if the problem still persists or got solved. Those people should contact the support, if they don't get what they payed for. A new enemie will be the flying eye.Īnd the game is mostly about different heroes, maps, enemies and weapons - and there is something of each added in this update, so this literally is part of the developement of the game.Īs far as I understand, this crossover even is a major step for getting out of early access as well.Īnd pls don't list some supposed issues of others here. Id prefer you develop game instead of saying more ppl we can work more, makes it seem like you dont even want try, i mean ppl that paid for the collection pack didnt even get their reskins yet you can make clothes for more money. We hope you dig the new content, and we’re excited to share more details on our endgame changes. If you see anyone in the Heroes Marketplace asking for help, be sure to lend them a helping hand. (In fact, they’re the ones who reached out to us first! They have hundreds of hours in DD2! *fanboys*) And, of course, it’s just really awesome for DD2 to be in one of our favorite games, and they’re just as excited to see Terraria content in a game they love. We’re also gathering lots of great data on our early game changes from The Journey Begins update, and with this update, we’ll have more data to look at from other kinds of new players. More people playing = the more we can develop. We’re excited about Phase 2 of our plan! The goal behind the Terraria update is to get lots of exposure for our game. We’ll have more details for you in a blog tomorrow and over the coming weeks. Surprise! Terraria and Dungeon Defenders 2 are crossing over! PC Gamer has more information here.
